RIght! The first issue 45 DID, indeed, have "Something Inside Me" (by Slim Harpo) on the topdeck and "Olneyville Stomp" downstairs. I seem to remember that on subsequent issues, "O.Stomp" was made the A-side.

February 5, 2010
Sure....Just wanted to put in my two cents. No-one has said that Olneyville Stomp was the actual B-side of the original single, right?
Larry Mann
January 31, 2010
Well..........Yeah..But REAL blues outlet fans must realize there's LOTS more than "O. Stomp". Am I wrong??!?!?!???

January 25, 2010
Yeah it does! I have a copy on a RED VINYL 45...with picture sleeve. Pretty cool.

Hate to be seen as an enabler of bootleggers, but I do own a cassette from Japan (I think)...which includes cuts by B.B. King, John Mayall, John Lee Hooker , Duke Robillard , T.S. McPhee and "Olneyville Stomp". Thought you'd like to know..... T.W.

Hi there Willie:
Well, for starters, it first saw the light of day on a 7" vinyl 45; Next it was picked up for inclusion on a 12-inch platter called New England's Best Rock put out by a radio station here in the Northeastern US. It appeared on the I Feel So Good ! CD and has subsequently been heard on Sampler CDs issued by Blues Revue magazine and Big City Blues mag. Other less legitimate re-issues are definitely floating about , as well. Reportedly UK and Japanese bootlegged versions are available on various nefarious websites. Good Luck in your hunt.

Hi:
I always loved "Olneyville Stomp." Was it ever on a vinyl 12-inch? I think I heard it had been released in Britain on a 12-incher sometime in the mid eighties? Any idea where I could locate a copy? Thanks...and keep on giving the blues a proper seeing to.!!

Leslie, the black acoustic is an Oscar Schmidt. Has a real nice bluesy sound ...and a built in pickup for the louder numbers.I'd have to watch the video to see which numbers are included before revealing the keys. But, I will say some of the tunes are probably in various open tunings. Good Luck...

Hi there:
There's a heated discussion going on over the instruments and keys in your YOUTUBE video. What is the black guitar? (Not the National Duolian, but the black acoustic? A Guild?)

Yes..you are right. There was a bit more to the vid now being shown on YouTube. And there definitely is lots of film footage with the whole electric band out there in the big ol' world. Anyone interested in collecting and posting it is welcome to do so....Send a copy here, though. Fair enough? Good Luck in your search. Keep us informed about your successes..

Hi There:
There was a lot more to this show, I believe. Another quarter hour or so with the National STEEL guitar...even bluesier, if memory serves. This has been shown on a few blues sites in the United Kingdom. And audio downloads at the band site, at last look. Thanks for posting. Any more?

Hi Willard:
I bet I know exactly what you're talking about. There was indeed a filming I recall back in about 1967 or '68.....that came out OK allowing for the video/audio limitations of the day.
That was , if I'm correct, my working band of the day which would have included Bob Buco on 2nd gtr., A. Lanni on electric bass and Joe Parisi on the dms.
Actually, I wouldn't mind seeing that myself....Could you make me a copy?

Gentlemen:
With regard to an 8-mm bit of film I've recently acquired: It appears to be Bob Angell with
a 3-piece backing band playing Wolf's "Little Red Rooster" complete with brassy slide guitar bits....Additionally, it appears to be filmed outdoors and ,judging by the clothes and musical gear, filmed a good decade or two in the past , perhaps in a suburban garden party???!!??
Any idea what it is I've got hold of here?

I think "Evan" has it just right. Here in W. Hampstead, I've heard the cut he refers to, as well. And...nicely observed, Evan!! The clever listener can just make out a few vocalised lines.....evidently off-mike...
A Les Paul punking a Marshall, is it?

good morning:
very fine site; i love it. only, i have a question. is the instrumental cut currently all over web radio and , unless i'm very much mistaken, occasionally on the bbc's most popular blues programme, a legitimate release...or a bootlegged version?
the reason i ask is because it almost sounds like a song with the vocal track missing? am i right? and when will the buggering album be released, then? Eh?
